»Drehkreuz Vielfalt Berlin« – Filmworkshopreihe

In the organizer's words:

The "Drehkreuz Vielfalt Berlin" project is a participatory film project for teenagers and young adults in Berlin that aims to raise awareness of discrimination within the immigration society and promote creative forms of expression for more togetherness and recognition. As part of the project, the participants will work on several short videos dealing with the discrimination of the migrant community against other communities. Over the course of seven workshops, the participants will be supported and accompanied by experienced and tried-and-tested mentors in all stages of video production, from story-telling techniques to recording, camera work and editing.

Participation in the project and the workshops is free of charge.

The finished short films will ultimately be shown in various public institutions such as youth clubs, schools, cinemas and libraries in order to stimulate social discussion about discrimination and create a broader awareness of these issues.
