Dreijährige Jubiläumsfeier der Theodor Wonja Michael Bibliothek

The Theodor Wonja Michael Library, the first Black* library in North Rhine-Westphalia, is celebrating its third anniversary. On February 19, 2022, in the middle of Black History Month, the Theodor Wonja Michael Library was opened. This year we are celebrating with a get-together and a reading on the topic of "Black* people under National Socialism".

The program of the Black History Month in Cologne takes place in cooperation with our Office for Integration and Diversity. The anniversary celebration will be organized by the Theodor Wonja Michael Library.

*Black people = chosen self-designation that addresses all people who themselves have an African or Afro-diasporic (e.g. Afro-Caribbean, Afro-American, Afro-German) background.
