Next Generation

The sound of the group led by Zurich guitarist and composer Joa Frey belongs to the broad category of jazz rock. The Driftwood Quartet cultivates a fine, subtle variation that combines catchy, singable melodies with complex rhythmic structures. Their debut album "Litha" was selected for the Next Generation series of the German jazz magazine Jazz thing and released in collaboration with Double Moon Records in fall 2023.
