The US band is coming to Germany for four shows on their Europe & UK tour

Looking at Drug Church 's career and image, it quickly becomes clear that the band doesn't take itself too seriously. According to the band, this may be the key to their rather accidental success. The band convinces with a surprising looseness, while other bands sometimes take themselves too seriously. With their 80s-influenced alternative rock sound, which they also like to add post-hardcore, punk and grunge influences to on their five albums and three EPs, Drug Church have become a celebrated force in the modern US punk and hardcore scene. In particular, their personal, honest and sometimes satirically humorous lyrics resonate with their ever-growing fanbase. The band celebrated their biggest success to date with the single "Weed Pin" (2017) and the accompanying album "Cheer " (2018). In June, DrugChurch will be coming to Munich, Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne on their Europe & UK 2025 Tour.

Drug Church was founded in 2011 by guitarists Nick Cogan and Cory Galusha, singer Patrick Kindlon, bassist Patrick Wynne and drummer Chris Villeneuve in St. Albany, New York. After a first demo in the same year, the label No Sleep Records signed the band in early 2012. They released their debut EP "Self Titled" and the "Swell" EP via the label, which was celebrated for its aggressive sound. The band continued to expand their sound on both their debut album "Paul Walker" and the 2015 album "Hit Your Head". In 2018, Drug Church signed to Pure Noise Records and released their third album "Cheer". Audibly influenced by grunge, it was celebrated by fans above all for its honest and introspective lyrics. After the single "Bliss Out" (2020) and the "Tawny" EP (2021), the fourth album "Hygiene" followed in 2022, which was described by The A.V. Club as "reimagined 90s alternative rock, with a hardcore edge". Drug Church' s fifth and most recent album "Prude" followed in October 2024 and took the band to number 45 on the Billboard Digital Albums with the rocking lead single "Myopic".
