Duke & Dukies

In the organizer's words:

Duke & Dukies - European swing in the tradition of Django Reinhardt.

When Duke & Dukies get going, there's no stopping them. The pumping French guitars and the driving double bass get the crowd dancing.

The ensemble consists of two guitars, double bass, violin and vocals. At a Dukies concert, you can hear original gypsy jazz gems as well as light borrowings from other related genres and original compositions. These round off the repertoire in a variety of ways - sometimes powerful and fiery, sometimes tender and sweet.
