The concert title is no coincidence - it is a heartfelt invitation to the audience to experience the themes of love and peace through music. Touching Middle Eastern melodies and folk songs, characterized by various forms of improvisation, are a unique blend that creates a rich and dynamic experience, transporting the audience to a world where tradition meets creativity. Join us for an evening of profound musical expression that transcends boundaries and fosters a deeper understanding of the resilience of these cultures.

The wonderful Syrian singer and oud player Nawar Alnaddaf lives in Norway. Alnaddaf composes music at the interface between Arabic tonality, modern forms of expression and improvisation and arranges Norwegian folk songs as well as music from Arabic folk music with jazz elements. With her independent voice, Nawar now plays an important role in the young Norwegian music scene.

Originally from Damascus, percussionist Amjad Sukar has been a permanent member of various ensembles such as the Ogaro Ensemble, Vigo, Dafa Band, Syriab Band and the Syrian orchestra Ornina for many years and works with renowned music societies such as the Mozart Gesellschaft Wiesbaden and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
