DURCHLÜFTEN - Open Air Festival im Schlüterhof

In the organizer's words:

Free, outdoors and under palm trees: this summer, the DURCHLÜFTEN music festival will once again transform the Humboldt Forum's large Schlüterhof courtyard into a lively meeting place for sound, rhythm and culture.

Over four weekends, music from all over the world will radiate from the stage: from the raw energy of Mexican cumbia punk to the hypnotic groove of Kenyan dodo blues, from the electrifying syncopation of Congolese soukous to the powerful messages of Afrofuturist big bands.

Japanese folk with a Caribbean influence, soulful jazz, hip-hop and the joy and resilience of the Frafra gospel round off this celebration of sound - boundless, multi-perspective and irresistibly danceable!

With a total of 24 live acts and 12 DJs, each of the 12 evenings is a journey through diverse musical landscapes - to the bustling streets of Mexico City, the desert nights of Niger, the pulsating beats of Nairobi or the hidden grooves of Tokyo - before returning to the heart of Berlin's ever-evolving club culture.

DURCHLÜFTEN is more than just a festival. It creates an open, communal space where music becomes a language of connection. The festival takes place in a place that is deeply interwoven into Berlin's multi-layered history and where cultural belongings from many cultures around the world are gathered. It invites you to reflect on movement - of people, sounds and narratives. The Schlüterhof thus becomes a stage on which global voices come together to reclaim and redesign cultural spaces through sound.

And the best thing about it? DURCHLÜFTEN is free, outdoors and for everyone. Whether it's for dancing, discovering new sounds or simply enjoying a warm Berlin evening - everyone is welcome!
