Düsseldorfer Nacht der Museen: Ein unendlich dunkles Erbe: Die faschistischen Wurzeln der modernen Weltraumforschung

Students of American Studies at Heinrich Heine University (HHU), together with photographer Lewis Bush and under the direction of Dr. Jens Temmen (HHU), have created a photo exhibition on the fascist roots of modern space exploration based on Lewis Bush's photographic and scientific work. As part of the Düsseldorf Night of Museums, the exhibition can be visited on this evening with an accompanying program of hands-on activities.

In addition to the opportunity to learn more about the historical background of space exploration, Lewis Bush will guide visitors through the exhibition himself on this evening. In discussion rounds with HHU students, there will be exclusive insights into the concept of the exhibition as well as a gallery walk by the European university alliance UNIVERSEH. In addition, the Rheinstimmen Ensemble will explore the tension between the thirst for knowledge, a yearning for space and totalitarian power with a special musical performance under the motto "SITE: Stardust In Their Eyes".

The exhibition will be on display at the Haus der Universität until June 2, 2025 and can be visited during normal opening hours.
