Duty Free focuses entirely on the original compositions of quartet founder Timon Krämer. The visionary bassist gives his fellow musicians Rafael Müller on drums, Aydın Bayramoğlu on piano and Benjamin Stanko on trumpet and flugelhorn complete freedom to improvise.
Inspired by groove-oriented jazz, the musicians unfold their joy of experimentation on a creative playing style between sometimes balladic, sometimes rhythmically rousing sounds - with hints of swing, modal jazz and Latin groove mixed in.
Their first joint album "Katharsis" will be released on vinyl in early 2025.
