Ebertplatzkonzert #2 - Los Apartamentos & Deadwood Dicks

Our Thursday concert series is entering a new round! From April to October there will be a monthly concert at Ebertplatz. As always from 6-8 pm, free & outside.

At our second concert on Thursday, May 8th , we are looking forward to two Cologne bands: Los Apartamentos and Deadwood Dicks.

>> LOS APARTAMENTOS play Mento. This Caribbean vintage sound - chilled, quirky and infectiously cheerful - paved the way for ska and reggae with acoustic instruments in Jamaica in the 1950s. The Cologne-based Boomer septet is the only mento band in Germany to bring this catchy island sound back to party life. Their debut album "Water di Garden" has just been followed by the presentation of the single "Mama Look a booboo". On May 8, Los Apartamentos want to breathe the flair of Montego Bay into the brutalism of Ebertplatz.

>> DEADWOOD DICKS: The Cologne-based Nordstadt duo is oriented towards the traditional sound of the Appalachians, somewhere between a lachrymose lament and an alcohol-saturated stomper. Equipped with guitar, banjo and two distinctive voices, the Deadwood Dicks interpret classics of mountain music, original compositions and favorite songs of all genres.

>> EBERTPLATKONZERTE - Since 2019, concerts have been held regularly on Ebertplatz during the summer months as part of the interim use of Ebertplatz. While acts and genres change, Thursday evenings remain a constant for the Ebertplatz concerts. All concerts are free of charge and are jointly organized by Unser Ebertplatz and FDV Veranstaltungstechnik with changing curators.
