Eddi, das Erdmännchen

Like all meerkats, Eddi has to keep watch for his family. But Eddi loves to dance and hears rhythm and music everywhere. When the elephants trumpet, when the gazelles gallop, when the rhinos stamp, simply everywhere. And then Eddi has to dance. One day a buzzard comes, but Eddi's voice fails him and he can't warn his family. They think he hasn't been paying attention because of his dancing and cast him out. Now Eddi is alone in the dangerous steppe. But he soon meets new friends: a very slow tortoise and a timid ostrich. Together they have all kinds of adventures. Eddi is actually doing well, but he misses his family. In the meantime, however, he has learned how to warn of danger without words when his voice fails him: by dancing. When he rejoins his family, he becomes the best guardian in the whole steppe.

The dances are designed in such a way that the children can easily dance along from their seats.
