PANEL DISCUSSION

Almost unnoticed by the public, one of the world's greatest humanitarian tragedies is currently unfolding in Sudan. Countless people have died in the civil war, millions have been displaced.

April 2025 marks the second anniversary of the start of the war - but the catastrophe in Sudan is taking place in the shadow of other conflicts. It is more than a local conflict. It is a cruel war with local, national and international actors responsible for thousands of serious human rights violations and horrific violence against the civilian population. Women and children in particular are suffering the consequences.

What makes Sudan so special? Why should the war also concern us in Germany? And what needs to happen now to save millions of lives?

We will shed light on this on April 9, 2025 in a top-class event with experts and high-ranking guests from politics, the media, society and culture.
