Four misfits - Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Eugene Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers) and Dawn (Danielle Brooks) - are torn from their everyday lives when they are pulled through a mysterious portal into a strange world: The Upperworld, a strange, cubic land ruled by almost limitless imagination. In order to find their way back to their reality, they must master this unusual world and defend themselves against threats such as zombies and pigs gone wild. They are supported by Steve (Jack Black), an experienced crafter, who accompanies the four adventurers on their not entirely voluntary journey.
