When the four outsiders Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Eugene Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers) and Dawn (Danielle Brooks) are catapulted into the upper world one day through a mysterious portal, it puts an abrupt end to their daily grind. In the bizarre, cube-shaped landscape, they can use their imaginations to create things far beyond their imagination. Nevertheless, they want to return home safe and sound, but first they have to survive this world, which offers fantastic possibilities as well as dark nights with evil creatures. Experienced carfter Steve (Jack Black) guides the strangers through the absurd adventure. The five companions are confronted with the great challenge of remembering the creative qualities that define each of them, even in the face of threatening dangers. In doing so, they not only save their lives in the Minecraft world, but also learn what they already have within them to be successful in the real world.
