An ensemble is rehearsing MITTSOMMERNACHTSTRAUM. The set is not yet ready, they are discussing, rehearsing, decorating ... the premiere is imminent. The power of fantasy is at the heart of Shakespeare's comedy. Desire and illusion determine the story. She loves the one who is to marry another, who in turn is in love with a third, they flee and run after each other into the forest, where mistaken identities and a love drug confuse everything even more. And then the amateur dramatics group appears, also rehearsing an "extremely funny tragedy" ... in Ronny Miersch's version, the boundaries between rehearsal and play become increasingly blurred until no one knows which reality we are in.
