A fairy tale from contemporary Germany and at the same time the true story of a family in which a father is inspired by his daughter's wish and four people embark on the journey of a lifetime.

When their daughter Nina is diagnosed with a fine motor and coordination disorder, Vera and Wolf's family model of life is fundamentally shaken. Nina's subsequent wish for a million minutes that they could spend together doing nothing but nice things opens her father's eyes. A million minutes might be more valuable than a successful career. So the family embarks on the journey of a lifetime for 694 days - a million minutes. In the process, they not only search for alternative life models, but also question learned thought patterns, traditions and norms.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Wolf Küper.
