The title alone gives you goosebumps, many people remember the movie of the same name. Dan Gallagher is a successful lawyer and happily married family man. By chance, he makes the acquaintance of attractive publishing editor Alex Forrest. He cannot resist the temptation. However, it turns out that Alex doesn't want a one-night stand, but a relationship. For Dan, however, leaving his family is out of the question.
Alex tries to blackmail Dan with suicide threats and attacks on his privacy. An invisible noose tightens around his neck.
