If you're feeling lonely, they say, find new friends, go for a walk, exercise, make yourself a cup of tea, read a book, write a diary, download a mindfulness app or one of those dating apps. Oh, there are so many options in the digital age. Who likes to call themselves lonely? Loneliness is shameful, hardly anyone likes to admit it. But loneliness is more than just a lack. It can be a place of confrontation with oneself, perhaps it is a necessary prerequisite for being together with oneself and with others?

Together with ten young actors, author Theresa Kleiner, choreographer Birgit Freitag and director Christiane Renziehausen explore facets of loneliness. What narratives are there about loneliness? And what stigmatization goes hand in hand with it? In language and movement, they question a feeling that connects us all.
