Einstiegsworkshop zum Thema Endometriose

In the organizer's words:

Workshop: "Endo-what? - An introductory workshop on the topic of endometriosis"

It's been three years since I had my laparoscopy and was diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis.
It was nine years ago that I started my search for a diagnosis. I went from practice to practice, received various treatments, was sent for an X-ray, ultrasound and MRI - none of the doctors saw anything conspicuous.

They said I was imagining my back pain.
"You just need to relax more," they said.
The heavy bleeding and pain during my period were explained as normal.
Thanks to a friend, I was given the tip to ask for a laparoscopy, which gave me the
certainty:

It's not my imagination.
It's not normal.
This is endometriosis.

I would like to offer this (donation-based) workshop to make the path to diagnosis easier for other people and also to offer the first steps after it.
We need to talk about the cycle, endometriosis, menstruation and all the symptoms! We need to make them visible!
With my collective Endokollektiv, I am actively committed to raising awareness of these
issues in our society. We are out and about with our information stand in Berlin clubs
and offer information material, which you will also get to know at the workshop.

As "Endo-DJs" we try to make the music scene more menstruation-friendly.
Professionally, I also try to strengthen the structures of equal rights in schools.
strengthen them. Free menstrual products in the toilets, for example, are an issue that I'm working on.
In this workshop you will...
⁃ get an overview of the cycle phases of the menstruating body.
⁃ find space for exchange with other affected people.
⁃ Receive suggestions on how to prevent menstrual pain.
⁃ prepare a period SOS box.
I look forward to seeing you from the bottom of my heart!
Johanna
