"There are a lot of flies where we are, because all we do is drink and lie at the station" is one of the lyrics on
their first and only tape. Since then, Eisenpimmel have been circling around their own sun. In 1985, guitarist Wolle Pannek and singer Bärbel Rotzky founded the children's punk band Hansafront, which over the years became a group for adults (Eisenpimmel) through the addition of other figures.
became.
The aim was and is not at all to make society think with socially critical lyrics, but rather to
but rather to describe their own suboptimal living conditions, which, however, still
which still has an unintentionally comical effect on many listeners.
Although everyone in the band is an excellent musician and could easily play with Pink Floyd, beer became the most important band member. The group composed around 40 songs dealing with this topic - the best known of which are "Saufen", "Pils"
and "Bau keine Scheisse mit Bier".
Spurred on by the great success of their acoustic scenarios, Eisenpimmel have become increasingly political over the past 20 years, which has manifested itself in titles such as "Staat hau ab", "Ohzonloch Fuck Off" and "Skat mit dem System".
At the latest after their last 3 LPs, a rock opera about the "decline of the monetary economic system (from the perspective of a current account)", Eisenpimmel form the spearhead of a new, young movement of semi-politically interested part-time activists with a big mouth. They look very good for their age and move around the stage like basketball players or rabbits. The well-built punk band sees their modest aim of giving as few concerts as possible as being detached from evenings on which they present their great world successes to a stunned audience.
Eisenpimmel are against animal testing, environmental pollution, fascism and diseases of all kinds. Their new album "XL" was released in spring 2020 and contains eleven different songs.
