Hele şükür, at last - Elektro Hafiz is back on international stages with his brand new album "Style is Prison". Naturally, we want to celebrate this in his adopted home of Cologne. The Istanbul native, who has lived in Cologne for over 15 years, is considered a pioneer of the new "Krautrock". His innovative style, which transcends genres and borders, repeatedly sets exclamation marks and causes an international sensation.

Elektro Hafiz stands for a constantly growing fusion of arabesque influences, organic and electrifying beats, boundless experimentation and diverse collaborations. Whether on electric guitar, electric saz or bouzouki, Hafiz combines hypnotic wedding music from the border villages of southeast Anatolia, overdrive fuzz tones, krautrock and the melodies and rhythms of the shared Greek-Turkish cultural heritage with a large portion of punk attitude and humor.

Elektro Hafiz's new album "Style is Prison" is not just a statement about breaking out of the cage and one's own boundaries. It is a statement for diversity and commonalities, the breaking down and questioning of rigid boundaries, both musical and especially cultural!
