Elisa Herbig Trio

ELISA is a trio consisting of Elisa Herbig on cello and vocals, pianist Johannes Bartmes on keys and percussion/beatboxing and Matthias TC Debus on electronic bass. In 2019, the newly formed trio embarked on their first tour of Romania, where the three musicians

Each brings their own personal wealth of experience and approach to music, so that a variety of influences and ideas come together when the three musicians develop the arrangements of the songs together.

The content-filled vocals of the verses are often replaced by polyphonic choral singing in the choruses. The instrumental parts move between classical cello passages and free improvisations on bass, electric organ or whistle solo. The band sound
creates completely new soundscapes that surprise and broaden the musical horizon.
