"Ellen Babić" is a brand new, entertaining and gripping psychological thriller by successful author Marius von Mayenburg on the subject of love and MeToo.
Did a lesbian teacher take advantage of a pupil's plight? Or did the minor want to attract the attention and desire of the authority figure? Is the teacher the victim of defamation? Is the principal taking advantage of the fact that his subordinate is under suspicion? Has he himself not kept his professional and private life separate for years, as she claims? And how long has the teacher been living with another former pupil in a romantic relationship?
Questions upon questions about the ambiguity and complexity of human behavior.
In any case, the eponymous Ellen B. never appears in the play herself ...
