In the organizer's words:

A concert for Wolfgang Rihm, an insight into his composing workshop, an exploration of his students in the form of new works. Peter Tilling and the ensemble risonanze erranti were closely associated with Wolfgang Rihm; in 2012, the musicians played at the Pinakothek der Moderne for his 60th birthday. In 2018, a portrait concert was held at the Movimentos Festwochen Wolfsburg and at the Radialsystem Berlin, where his Doppio concertino for 2 cellos was premiered. The CD production of IN FRAGE in February 2024 was the last joint work.

The concert will feature world premieres by Birke J. Bertelsmeier and Johannes Motschmann, both of whom studied with Rihm. The sequence of works Kolchis - In Frage - Blick auf Kolchis makes one of Rihm's working principles audible, the overpainting and continuation of a compositional nucleus.
