We all know the phenomenon: no matter how hard we try, food always tastes different at home than it does in the restaurant around the corner, at a friend's house or on vacation. But why is that? Why, for example, does thyme taste different in Germany than it does in Greece or Lebanon? And how does taste determine our relationship to food and places?
Together with Give Something Back to Berlin, we invite you to the Community Kitchen in Neukölln. We will cook together, exchange ideas and learn (from each other). And, of course, we will get to the bottom of the question of why the same dish tastes different in every place and what this has to do with regional conditions, but also with cultural and social affiliation. Diversity of taste enriches our lives - and it ensures that we connect emotionally with a place. But how can we preserve this in the future?
The future is for everyone! The Futurium wants to be accessible to everyone. If you have any other access needs, please let us know. We will try to fulfill them: info@futurium.de
