Comedy based on Moliere's "School for Women"
Arnulf, State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Office, is single. In his job, however, a wife is often desirable. Arnulf sees no point in marriage, as he observes from his friends that women prefer lovers rather than their busy husbands. He does not want to be cheated on.
His housekeeper Georgette suggests that he marry her distant cousin from Spain. This young convent student seems naïve enough to be a faithful wife. "People will accept any lie if it makes them feel important."
A grotesquely beautiful comedy that deserves a good summer.
