Exhibition
From November 22-24, 2024, Free Human & Hawar Help invite you to participate in the exhibition Memories that Last - a powerful tribute to the victims of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a reflection of the ongoing struggle for justice, freedom and human dignity in Iran. This exhibition honors the memory of the countless Iranians who have fallen victim to the brutality of the regime, with a special focus on women and youth who have suffered immense hardship under the oppressive system of gender apartheid. The exhibition will feature personal memorabilia, letters written in captivity, last wills and artifacts made by prisoners. These will serve as poignant reminders of the resistance and courage of the victims. Visitors will also learn about the oppression faced by the victims' families, who are targeted by the regime simply for seeking justice and remembering their loved ones.
This exhibition is organized by the Relatives of Victims for Transitional Justice in collaboration with Kulturbunker Köln-Mülheim, Free_Human__ and HÁWAR.help. It also highlights the ongoing resistance in Iran, where prisoners protest against the regime through hunger strikes - especially on Tuesdays. These courageous acts of resistance demonstrate a tireless commitment to freedom and justice, even in the face of torture, imprisonment and death.
