How we remember changes when a society changes. In a diverse society like today, there are calls for an inclusive culture of remembrance. On the other hand, there are those who would prefer to forget the Nazi crimes.
We can only remember together: that is why we invite all interested parties to join us in shaping the future of remembrance. Each consultation hour starts with an input on a current challenge facing society and thus also the nsdoku. Afterwards, the space is open for further exchange on the topic or to discuss together how memory should continue.
The video installation overexposed/underexposed examines eight places in Munich in which a history of terrorist violence was inscribed after 1945. On May 23, the remembrance talk will address the question of why some of these places have not become part of the city's collective memory. How can a city come to terms with the attacks together?
The event is suitable for adults and young people aged 16 and over.
