The guard beadle Martin takes us into his everyday working life and gives us a detailed insight into life as a guard beadle in the 17th century.
Great excitement in Regensburg in the year 1636! The emperor and his entourage are about to visit and the whole town is on its feet. Wachbüttel Martin knows his Regensburg very well during the turmoil of the 30 Years' War. He knows a thing or two about the power games and intrigues of big politics and has his own opinion of the councillors, lawyers and the entire bureaucracy. Above all the hustle and bustle, he must of course not forget his most urgent task - the security of Regensburg.
