The guided tour for anyone who wants to learn more about the history of indulgences, repentant sinners and the pursuit of salvation in the Middle Ages.

Sinning in the Middle Ages was by no means difficult: a thoughtless word or an immoral thought was all it took, according to the church. It is therefore not surprising that people saw natural disasters such as floods or epidemics such as leprosy as God's punishment for their sinful existence. Whether rich merchant or poor pilgrim - everyone feared purgatory and hell. We shed light on the constraints of earthly life and the ingenuity with which people dealt with them.
