Welcome and introduction
Benita Meißner, curator
Prof. Uta Graff, TUM
The exhibition 'Ressource, Research, Reset' with the Chair of Design at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) presents innovative architectural concepts for the reuse of church buildings and questions their future role in society. As part of a cooperation with the TUM, students from the Chair of Design and Creation, under the direction of Prof. Uta Graff, developed designs for the redesign of two sacred buildings in Ingolstadt and Munich. The exhibition provides an insight into the architectural potential, cultural value and new uses of these spaces and ties in with the Re* lecture series on sustainability in the construction sector. It is supported by the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.
