On Thursday, April 10, 2025, we will open the exhibition YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND at the Gropius Bau with free admission and a DJ set by Saeko Killy. The solo exhibition pays tribute to Yoko Ono's groundbreaking work and invites you to discover, re-experience and, in some cases, complete works by this exceptional artist from seven decades.

19:00 Welcome by Matthias Pees, Director of the Berliner Festspiele, and Jenny Schlenzka, Director of the Gropius Bau, with a greeting by Dr. Johannes Evers, Chairman of the Board of Berliner Sparkasse and Dr. Frederic Roßbeck, Chairman of the Board of Feuersozietät Berlin Brandenburg, and with an introduction by Patrizia Dander, Deputy Curatorial Director of the Gropius Bau and curator of the exhibition

From April 11 to August 31, 2025, the exhibition YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND brings together more than 200 works and sheds light on Ono's radical approach to language, art and participation, which continues to have an impact today. The comprehensive solo exhibition ranges from Ono's so-called instructions - written instructions that invite the viewer to imagine, experience, create or complete a work - to installations and performances, films, music and photographs.
