ESSENZ – Kunst als Ausdruck des Seins

In the organizer's words:

A group of seven artists are presenting their works in the techniques of painting, photography and sculpture at the Altes Pfandhaus in Cologne. Under the title "ESSENZ - Art as an Expression of Being", the diverse works can be seen from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 15, 2025.

It is not only the art that unites the exhibitors, but above all the shared idea of using their artworks to trigger a change in perception and appeal to viewers on an emotional level. Even if the approach is different, they all share the intention of illustrating a different reality, inner beauty or deeper levels.

Mirror of emotions and manifestation of creativity: in detail, this means that each artist depicts reality in an abstract way using the chosen technique in order to convey the essence of beauty. The results of these creative processes are visible in the paintings, photographic works and sculptures in the ESSENZ exhibition at the Altes Pfandhaus in Cologne's Südstadt district.

The vernissage on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 6 pm will be musically accompanied by Helena Hover And The Kicks. Together with Timo Vaut on guitar, Peter Halves on drums, Thomas Kosok on double bass and Helena Hover on vocals, timeless classics and rare treasures from the swing era and early rhythm and blues can be heard.
