E.T. - Der Außerirdische

Aliens are interrupted in their peaceful mission to explore Earth and leave in a hurry. In the process, they forget a crew member near a settlement. Ten-year-old Elliott finds the alien behind his family home and befriends him. Elliott gives his new friend the name E.T., hides him and shares the secret with his siblings. But when E.T. gets homesick at some point, Elliott wants to help him find his spaceship again. He has to hurry, because NASA employees have gotten wind of the little creature from outer space...

The film is one of the most commercially successful feature films of all time.

4 Oscars in the categories "Best Film Music", "Best Visual Effects", "Best Sound" and "Best Sound Editing" as well as five further nominations.
