Ethereum Meetup Dortmund – Zukunft von Web3 gemeinsam bauen!

Ethereum is ten years old - we are taking the anniversary as an opportunity to talk about the possibilities of blockchain, Web3 and digital participation in Dortmund. The meetup is aimed at everyone - newcomers, developers and interested parties. We are particularly looking forward to Thuy Tien Nguyen from the Fraunhofer Institute, who is working on sustainable supply chains based on blockchain. She has deliberately chosen Welthaus as the venue for this exchange.

Ethereum is a blockchain-based platform for creating decentralized applications that promotes financial inclusion and supports new forms of social participation and transparent collaboration.

Blockchain technology is a decentralized, immutable and transparent data storage system. It is characterized by the fact that a continuously growing list of entries is combined into blocks, cryptographically linked and maintained by a decentralized computer network. Blockchain technology is therefore also referred to as trustless technology, as trust is not realized via an intermediary, but via the reliability of the technology itself. Blockchain technology is now seen as the key technology behind the decentralized internet, which has become known as Web3.
