Europe is closer than many people think. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the European Union influences our everyday lives in many different ways - be it through subsidies, environmental standards or the freedom to travel to other EU member states. But how does the EU actually work on the ground and what role do we play as citizens? How can we participate and actively shape the future of Europe?

In this online event, experts, political decision-makers and representatives of civil society will provide exciting insights into the work of the EU in NRW. We will discuss how the EU works on the ground, what local European work looks like and what opportunities there are for us to get involved.
