#EUwomen - Ausstellungseröffnung

In the organizer's words:

#EUwomen - Women in the European Union

The founding phase of the European Community is usually referred to with reference to the so-called "founding fathers". But alongside them, women were active in laying the foundations of the European Union and have shaped European policy from the very beginning. The traveling exhibition #EUwomen focuses on women who have helped shape European integration and continue to do so today.

The International Relations team cordially invites all interested parties to the exhibition opening on Monday, July 7, 2025.

As part of the opening, you can expect an inspiring keynote speech by Carolin Mues (JEF NRW), which will focus on the role of women in the European Union and the many hurdles and challenges associated with it. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to get into conversation over drinks and exchange ideas with other interested parties.

The #EUwomen exhibition is on loan from the Bremen Senate Chancellery. It was created by the European Department of the Representative of Bremen to the Federal Government and for Europe and supported by the Representation of the EU Commission in Germany.
