Evita Manji | Konzert

At the end of Spätschicht x Creamcake on Südplatz, musician and vocal artist Evita Manji creates growing bodies of sound through the interplay of choral singing and sound design. There is no beginning and no end, only an ongoing process of becoming and passing away.

Athens-based musician and vocal artist Evita Manji combines human experience, climate change, quantum physics and ideas of death in search of a fundamental truth. Manji's practice creates musical worlds composed of expanding sound organisms and formless solid non-materials. Manji released the singles OIL/TOO MUCH and EYES/NOT ENOUGH on her*his own platform myxoxym before releasing the debut album Spandrel? on PAN in 2023. In 2024, Manji also contributed to a posthumously released album by SOPHIE. Manji has performed across Europe and at festivals such as Unsound in Krakow, Lunchmeat in Prague, Sonic Territories in Vienna and Mutek in Montreal and has created projects with numerous artists for art institutions such as Kunsthalle Basel and Saigon Athens. Manji works with the duo dmstfctn, among others.
