Ewald Lienen - Fußball und wie das Leben so spielt.... - Moderation: Michael Born

Many fans remember him as the left winger with the long hair. Quite a few still have the images of his slashed thigh in mind. He became known as someone who stood up for social justice and observed and criticized the advancing commercialization of soccer with a clear eye and an alert mind.
For almost 20 years, he ran his lungs out for clubs such as Borussia Mönchengladbach, Arminia Bielefeld and MSV Duisburg.
He coached teams at home and abroad for 28 years and achieved respectable success with clubs such as MSV Duisburg, Hansa Rostock, 1.FC Köln, Panionios Athens and, last but not least, FC St. Pauli.

Intelligent and eloquent, Lienen not only meticulously dissects the events surrounding soccer. He also analyzes the social situation in Germany and the world with razor-sharp precision.
Anyone who experiences him on stage will be captivated. He captivates the audience with great passion and humor. They only go home when the janitor comes on stage because he wants to call it a day...

His counterpart on most evenings is the Hamburg sports journalist and discussion partner Michael Born. He will host his friend's events. Occasionally he falls victim to Ewald's verbal outbursts, which amuses the audience more than the presenter. In addition, a prominent guest from the world of soccer will occasionally enrich the show.

Ewald Lienen's long-time friend, Duisburg musician Jupp Goetz, will sing a few songs in between so that the audience can take a deep breath.
