Exclusives Konzert von Maxence

As part of the 23rd Düsseldorf France Festival, the Institut français is presenting a pop concert with French singer Maxence (pop/chanson/electro/rap)

When darkness slowly falls over the courtyard on Saturday evening, Maxence takes over - and turns it into a stage for a concert that is anything but ordinary.

Maxence, born Maxence Loris Lapérouse in Nîmes, began his musical journey at a young age. He first became known for his humorous and absurd songs on YouTube under the pseudonym Maxenss. However, he soon decided to use his real name and continue his musical development. With his first solo EP "@" in 2019 and the subsequent album Tout est trop beau in 2021, he established himself as an artist to be taken seriously on the French music scene.

Maxence is a multi-talented artist who dances between different worlds: singer, actor and storyteller. His music is a mixture of pop, electronic and chanson, often inspired by personal experiences and emotions. Both on stage and on screen, he makes melancholy the central motif of his artistic work and suggests that it is the source of his creative universe. This world, characterized by sensitivity and inner turmoil, gives his alternative pop an unmistakable, beguiling character.

With his latest EP Comme un enfant (2024), he shows an even more intimate side of himself and even collaborates with Julien Doré, another prominent French artist. On stage, he gives his all: an intense voice, raw energy and an almost magnetic presence. Look forward to a thrilling show between an emotional rollercoaster ride and moments of pure euphoria!

The concert will take place on Saturday evening at 20:30 on the stage in the inner courtyard of the town hall.
