Expertinnen im Dialog: Erfahrungen teilen, Perspektiven erweitern, Awareness schaffen

Are you interested in the art market and want to learn from experienced experts? Our three-part workshop project offers you the opportunity to network with successful female players in the art world, exchange ideas about equality in the art market and gain practical experience in working with archival materials.

In short presentations, the speakers will talk about their career paths and provide insights into the challenges they have faced, especially as women in a more male-dominated art market. They will talk about the obstacles they had to overcome because of their gender and show which strategies led them to success. In the subsequent dialog, you can ask questions and talk about your own experiences with the experts and workshop participants in the plenary session.

Following the lectures, you will be given an exclusive insight into the archives of other experts in the art market whose archive holdings are kept at ZADIK. These will not only provide you with in-depth insights into strategies and achievements, but will also introduce you to working with archival materials and sources.

Join us as we raise awareness, broaden perspectives and discuss steps towards equality in the art world. Together we will set an example for change and a fairer future in the art market.

Registration for the workshops is required by April 30 at julia.geng@uni-koeln.de. Registrations for all three workshops will be given priority due to the limited number of participants.

Students of the University of Cologne have the opportunity to acquire 2 credit points in the mobility module (EM1 in the Master's program in Art History and EM2 in the Bachelor's program in Art History) by participating in all three workshops and writing a short final reflection report (max. 3 pages). A certificate of attendance will be issued for the credit points, which must be submitted to Dr. Dirk Hildebrandt for crediting.
