EYWAH FESTIVAL 2025 // GLOBALE MUSIK

In the organizer's words:

Festival

The EYWAH FESTIVAL is a musical journey where musicians share their stories and learn from each other. The festival is a four-day workshop event where participants learn music by ear only - without sheet music. The music workshops are led by experts from different regions. This approach promotes collaboration between amateurs and professionals and enables intuitive access to different musical structures. During the festival, participants can focus on harmony, percussion, singing or melody. The experienced mentors - Kimia Bani (percussion), Dilay Yaman (vocals), Moulou Mammeri (harmony) and Blanche Marguerite (melody) - lead the workshops, the so-called sections.

Over the course of the festival, smaller ensembles work on a joint performance for the final concert, which also serves as a contest. The participants jointly determine the evaluation criteria and vote on the performances at the concert.

EYWAH promotes exchange, presence and empowerment.
