Beethoven was already sounding restless, passionate and therefore incredibly modern in his mid-twenties when he composed the Fifth Piano Sonata. In Fabian Müller's last concert of the Beethoven cycle, the program spans from two early works from the 1790s to the ultimate of all sonatas - the mighty "Hammerklavier Sonata". For the pianist from Bonn, it resembles a "musical piece of science fiction", composed for the grand pianos and listeners of the future. Music of extremes, the likes of which have never been seen before.
