Starting out as a rap-enthusiastic 12-year-old, Römer's path led him via numerous online battles to the real stages of the republic at an early age. Having outgrown his prodigy status, he released his first album under his real name in 2015. "Kalenderblätter" entered the German album charts at number 9, while Römer also discovered songwriting with other artists. Numerous gold and platinum awards are to follow. The rapid success as a songwriter made Römer's own music even more of a retreat, and his partly autobiographical writing style became even more ruthlessly honest. If every few years it is time to use his own voice, to tackle his own art, then this has an urgency. Above all, it is the palpable love of language that gives Römer's "little lover's project", as he himself calls it, great recognition value.
