This detailed city tour provides a comprehensive overview and shows the many different faces of the city. From the coach park at Toulonplatz in the city center, the tour leads to the imposing former seat of the Elector, the second largest baroque palace in Europe. The next stop on the program is Mannheim's landmark, the Water Tower, located in the middle of the extraordinary Art Nouveau complex of Friedrichsplatz, before the route takes a long detour to the east on the other side of the Neckar. After crossing the Neckar again, the bus passes the magnificent Wilhelminian-style villas of Oststadt and the avenue-like Augustaanlage on the way back towards the city center. The route crosses the Kurpfalzbrücke bridge into the attractive Neckarstadt district and around one of the city's largest squares, the Alter Messplatz. Back across the Neckar, you pass the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Germany, ride along the trendy Jungbusch district and catch a glimpse of the bustling port on a detour across the Rhine to neighboring Ludwigshafen. The tour ends at the starting point opposite the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums.
