Frequenz_Festival Kiel presents experimental music with audiovisual art from May 16-23, 2025

Coming from the Nordic experimental music scene, Fågelle is a wild collision of lyrical beauty and raw expressiveness, where soundscapes meet fragile, powerful vocals. Her solo live shows move between folkloric vocal passages and almost orchestral soundscapes infused with electronic noise. Her songs often dip from guitar riffs into dark obscurity.

On her latest album Den svenska vreden (The Swedish Anger), she explores isolation and anger in collage-like soundscapes of distorted field recordings, digital fragments and howling choirs, while oscillating between harmony and noise. She combines lyrical songwriting and disruptive experimentation.

In 2019, Fågelle toured Europe, including Roadburn, Berghain Kantine, Electrowerkz and Petit Bain.

About the Frequenz_Festival:

For seven days, experimental music by young composers from all over Europe will be heard in Kiel - together with audiovisual art and interactive installations.

From 16 to 23 May 2025, the Frequenz_Festival Kiel will present a very special visual and listening experience with numerous highlights in the program. The works of the youngest generation of multimedia artists will be the focus of the ten concerts and four installations at six different venues in Kiel. Since the festival was founded, the Pumpe has become one of the most important cooperation partners and will once again host various concerts, two world premieres and the festival week's sonorous closing evening.
This year's program reflects socio-political themes that refer to the disintegration of social structures, the blurring of boundaries between the digital and real world or the loss of real contact with reality and create new artistic orders.
