Hamburg indie rock trio Fake Plastic have released their second album Awake in the Night. Listening through the new record, the diversity of the eleven songs is particularly striking. The band aptly describes their sound as mysterious, adventurous, poetic and yet angry. From the ballad Waiting Working with its gentle acoustic guitar intro to the lively Pale Moon and the punk-inspired garage rock track Run Away With Me, there is something for almost every taste. Sometimes you feel reminded of Tenacious D, then you notice vocal parallels to Ozzy Osbourne, Neil Young or the singer of Built To Spill, but nonetheless Fake Plastic sounds original.

Lovely Weirdo wraps you up in cozy absorbent cotton with dreamy guitar sounds and a warm voice.
Her smoky vocals resonate with depth, longing and passion.
Make yourself comfortable and embark on a little sound journey through the world of ambivalent feelings - with songs that are as catchy as they are unconventional, sometimes soulful, bluesy, sometimes psychedelic - just as multifaceted as the omnipresent chaos in life from which they were born.
