Family and school concert

At this concert, the RSB, under the direction of its chief conductor Vladimir Jurowski, presents two of the most important works of music education. In the "sounding orchestra guide" Young person's guide to the orchestra, individual instruments come to the fore one after the other. The idea of introducing young people to the sound of a symphony orchestra is implemented in an entertaining and playful way in this composition.
"The Sorcerer's Apprentice" is the setting of Goethe's ballad of the same name. This creative orchestral work belongs to the genre of program music. It is a musical adaptation of the story of the sorcerer's apprentice who, without permission, casts a spell on a broom
to fetch water to fill a bathtub for the master.

The pupils are always introduced to different musical themes under a new title. Tickets cost €5 per child. (You will receive two free tickets per class for accompanying adults.)
