The big old trees in the forest hold an exciting secret. Musical instruments are built from the trunks and branches of maple, spruce and pine - but also from the wood of trees from distant lands. An entire musical forest can then be heard in concert. The Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra will talk about their instrument trees and how important it is to protect them in order to preserve the forest as a habitat for animals and plants. After the concert, an instrument maker will present her work and guests young and old will be able to try out instruments for themselves.

At klasse.klassik goes green, the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, in cooperation with the "Orchestra of Change" initiative and the "Naturwerkstatt - Verein für Umweltbildung e. V." (Nature Workshop - Association for Environmental Education), interactively and musically addresses the topics of sustainability, climate and environmental protection in nature rallies and family and school concerts.
