Familientag: Face to Face. Von Porträts und Selfies

This friends' family day at the Museum Ludwig is all about the fascinating subject of portraits and self-portraits in painting. Families are cordially invited to immerse themselves in the world of art and discover the stories behind the pictures. During guided tours for young and old, you will learn exciting facts about the techniques and meanings of portraits in art history. Creative craft activities invite you to design your own portraits and express yourself artistically. An entertaining museum quiz provides additional fun and promotes knowledge about the exhibited works. This family day offers a wonderful opportunity to experience art up close and to encourage children's creativity. Come along and be inspired!

Who is it for?
The program is aimed at families with children between approx. 6 - 10 years and takes place from 10:30 - to approx. 16:30. During this time, each group is given a time slot of approx. 2 hours. As part of a time slot, you can take part in a family tour, then take part in craft activities in the studio or go on a scavenger hunt through the museum.
